Obituary

Barbara Helen Fritsch (Robinson) passed away on March 6, 2019 at the age of 80 after suffering from Alzheimer's disease and Parkinsonian symptoms over the past several years. She was born October 26, 1938 in San Mateo, CA. She married Kenneth in DeKalb, IL in 1961. She is survived by: her husband, Kenneth; son, Kenneth Jr. (Ellen); son, Stephen (Laura); grandchildren of Kenneth and Ellen, Robinson, Clare, Frances and Margaret Fritsch and son of Jennifer, Ian Winters. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Winters; father and mother, Douglas and Eva Robinson and her brother James Robinson. Barbara was a 1957 graduate of Cardunal High School in Dundee, IL. She attended Northern Illinois University where she met her husband, Kenneth. Barbara spent most of her adult life in Wheaton, IL raising a family, enjoying activities such as playing bridge, taking long walks with family and friends and seldom passing up an opportunity to go shopping. Her three best friends Glenda Drury, Donna Wood and Sue Pettett were like the sisters she never had. When her three children were older Barbara was employed at a local printing business and later at a hair salon. While Barbara had many interests, her immediate family and daughter-in-laws always came first and foremost. When grandchildren came into her life she cherished them. She was able to help her daughter, Jennifer, raise her autistic grandson, Ian, and later help Jennifer when she became disabled. She will always be remembered for her strong sense of humor, her youthful great looks, a light touch and a mother, mother-in-law and grandmother that provided unconditional love and support.
