Barbara Ann Deshich's Obituary
Barbara Ann Deshich, age 90, a resident of Aurora, Il, and Elmhurst, IL, passed on May 24, 2018. She was born August 21, 1927 in Chicago to Marius and Jenny Bjerregaard.
Barbara grew up on the northwest side of Chicago between two golf courses and attended Taft High School. During WWll, she worked at Mars Candy Company, and later attended Wright Jr. College, going on to become a secretary for a railway company.
She met her husband, Dushan, at the Aragon ballroom in 1950. They married in July 1952. She was a homemaker and loved gardening, dogs, limpa, and chocolate. She loved her beagle Mitzi, Buddy, Sheba, Punkin (Scott's dog), Jambo, Harry, and Oliver (Carol's dogs) and Malachi (Jackie's cat). Barbara enjoyed going on long road trips to the western states, visiting the national parks.
Barbara is survived by her three children, Jacquelyn (Michael) Urso, Carol, and Scott, two granddaughters, Julie (David) Seifert and Jenna (Brian) Tatnall, two stepgrandchildren, Timothy and Matthew Urso, and six great grandchildren—Ella, Wesley and Autumn Seifert and Kole, Ezra, and Skye Tatnall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dushan Carl Deshich, parents Marius and Jenny Bjerregaard, and two brothers, Walter and Robert Bjerregaard.
Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, May 29 at Acacia Park Cemetery in Norridge, IL at 11 a.m.
