Barbara K. Chaltin, age 81, a resident of Glendale Heights, IL, died Sunday, October 15, 2017, at home. She was born July 20, 1936 in New Cambria, KS.

Barb graduated from Salina High School in Salina, KS. She worked as a receptionist at Rotra Inc. in Woodale, IL. She enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood and shopping for her family. She was a friendly person who never knew a stranger. She had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Henry Chaltin; her son, Jeff (Lori) Chaltin of Lombard, IL; her grandson, Alex Chaltin; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mona, Betty and June.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. A service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
