Barbara Diane "Boz" Li, age 38, a resident of Carol Stream and formerly of Glendale Heights and Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 24, at her home in Carol Stream. She was born July 30, 1979 in Winfield, IL to Edward G. and Karen A. Olszewski.

She was raised in Glen Ellyn, IL and attended Lincoln Elementary, Hadley Junior High, and graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1997. She then furthered her education by obtaining her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois - Chicago, Jane Addam's College of Social Work and her Master's in Social Work from Domincan University.

After graduation in 2002, she worked for Uhlich's Children Advantage Network (UCAN) for many years, left for a brief hiatus, and then returned to the UCAN family until 2017. She recently accepted a new position with Presence Home Health Care of Elgin and worked there until her untimely passing.

She loved her animals, from hamsters to guinea pigs, ferrets to many, many dogs. Her time spent in social work touched many lives, and was inspiring to all that witnessed her passion and dedication. This was someone who lived to love and care for others, whether it be family, friends or strangers.

She is survived by her husband, David, son Jeremy, daughter Jessica, step-sons Joshua and A.J., sister Nicole, niece Samantha, nephew Jacob, father-in-law Wen-Hsien, mother-in-law Carol, numerous cousins, countless friends whom she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, from 3:00 until 7:00 pm at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL. Interment will be private.
