Azucenita Cueva-Díaz, de 71 años, residente de Bloomingdale, IL, falleció el sábado 9 de noviembre de 2024. Nació el 15 de septiembre de 1953 en QUITO - ECUADOR.

Durante su niñez y juventud vivió con sus padres y hermanos en un ambiente lleno de amor, formándose una gran mujer merecedora ella con título de profesora a grandes cualidades que la convertían en un ser bondadosa, cariñosa, alegre y muy generosa, en el año 1977 se casa con Fausto Damián Pérez para formar un hogar lleno de felicidad y amor, con altos y bajos pero siempre juntos durante 47 años, tuvieron 2 hijas Silvanita y Carlita quienes fueron tan amadas, dedicando cada uno de sus días y desvelos a que nunca les falte su inmenso calor de madre. Años después tiene tres nietos Matias, Nicolas y Julianita a los que les vuelve a entregar esa calidez de su corazón con tanta grandeza que ellos nunca vieron una abuelita, siempre sintieron una madre. También tuvo un hijo político, César el cual nunca lo llamó yerno y recibió el mismo amor y cariño como si llevara su misma sangre. En el año 2017 esa gran mujer luchadora, alegre, valiente y llena de perseverancia deja atrás en su lindo Ecuador a sus hermanas, sobrinos, tíos, primos y amistades que tanto la querían para llegar a la ciudad de Chicago y empezar una nueva aventura en su vida. Al vivir aquí por 7 años nunca dejo de ser esa gran mujer con tantas virtudes ya que estaba aquí con las personas que ella más quería y las que más la querían a ella, su núcleo familiar. Al poco tiempo de estar en Chicago fue diagnosticada con un cáncer al que venció con todas sus fuerzas, asombrosamente ella nunca cambió su alegría su cariño su  nobleza y sobre todo nunca dejó que desvaneciera su gran fe por Dios. Ella vivió muchos momentos alegres con su familia y las nuevas amistades que poco a poco se fueron acercando a ella atraídos de su gran corazón, visitó muchos lugares fuera de Illinois como Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Indiana, NY, y muchos estados más, ya que le encantaba salir, ella sabía decir "no me gusta estar encerrada en estas cuatro paredes" . También le encantaba ir a comer a wingstop que es un lugar de alitas de pollo, pero cuando venía el invierno se quedaba más tiempo en su casita por que era muy friolenta y aquí hace mucho frío, a lo largo de su vida impactó a muchas personas con sus acciones, alegría, bromas y demás virtudes. En conclusión ella fue una mujer que aunque físicamente ya nos esté abandonando, siempre la recordaremos como una mujer bondadosa, alegre, buena con esa palabra necesaria para cualquiera que necesitara de su gran consejo, ella siempre estará en nuestros corazones, nuestra madre fue la más fuerte valiente y guerrera que hoy nos deja un gran legado en nuestra familia.

Se llevará a cabo un velorio el miércoles 13 de noviembre de 2024 de 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. en Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Wheaton, Illinois 60187. Se llevará a cabo un funeral el jueves 14 de noviembre de 2024 a las 10:00 a. m. en la funeraria. Azucenita Cueva-Díaz, 71, a resident of Bloomingdale, IL, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024. She was born on September 15, 1953 in QUITO - ECUADOR.

During her childhood and youth she lived with her parents and siblings in an environment full of love, becoming a great woman, deserving of a teaching degree and great qualities that made her a kind, affectionate, cheerful and very generous being. In 1977 she married Fausto Damián Pérez to form a home full of happiness and love, with ups and downs but always together for 47 years, they had 2 daughters Silvanita and Carlita who were so loved, dedicating each of their days and sleepless nights to never lack their immense motherly warmth. Years later she has three grandchildren, Matias, Nicolas and Julianita, to whom she once again gives the warmth of her heart with such greatness that they never saw a grandmother, they always felt like a mother. She also had a son-in-law, Cesar, who never called him son-in-law and received the same love and affection as if he were her blood. In 2017, this great woman, a fighter, happy, brave and full of perseverance, left behind in her beautiful Ecuador her sisters, nephews, uncles, cousins ​​and friends who loved her so much to come to the city of Chicago and start a new adventure in her life. Living here for 7 years she never stopped being that great woman with so many virtues since she was here with the people she loved the most and those who loved her the most, her family nucleus. Shortly after being in Chicago she was diagnosed with cancer which she defeated with all her strength, amazingly she never changed her joy, her affection, her nobility and above all she never let her great faith in God fade away. She lived many happy moments with her family and the new friends who little by little came closer to her attracted by her big heart, she visited many places outside of Illinois like Ohio, Florida, Wisconsin, Indiana, NY, and many more states, since she loved to go out, she knew how to say "I don't like being locked up in these four walls." She also loved to go eat at Wingstop which is a chicken wing place, but when winter came she stayed longer in her little house because it was very cold and here it is very cold, throughout her life she impacted many people with her actions, joy, jokes and other virtues. In conclusion she was a woman that although physically she is already leaving us, we will always remember her as a kind, happy woman, good with that word necessary for anyone who needed her great advice, she will always be in our hearts, our mother was the strongest, brave and warrior who today leaves us a great legacy in our family.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. Wheaton, Illinois 60187.
