Audyce Nell Avery, age 70, a resident of St. Charles and formerly a 34 year resident of Wheaton, died December 22. She was born on March 28, 1935 in Chicago to Bernard and Charlotte Schiff.

She was a graduate of Libertyville High School and Augustana College. On December 28, 1957 she married Jayman Avery Jr. in Highland Park, IL. She was a homemaker for 20 years and later taught typing at Wheaton Christian High School for 15 years. She also worked at LaPage and Associates in Wheaton.

Audy was an active member of College Church in Wheaton, where she volunteered in the Children's Ministries and Special Ed Programs. She also worked in the library, hospitality committee and at Twice is Nice Resale Store. She attended Bible Study Fellowship for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Jayman Jr., three children, Jayman III (Teresa) of Homewood, Mardell (Tim) Kott of Mesa, AZ, and Allison (Geoffrey) Dennis of Batavia, 8 grandchildren, Jayman IV and Annaliese Avery, Chardyce and Tyler Kott, Jacob, Audra, Avery and Addison Dennis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Mardell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27 from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. at College Church in Wheaton, Washington and Seminary St., Wheaton.

Interment will be held privately at Beverly Cemetery in Blue Island.
