Obituary
Arthur F. Wells, age 76, a resident of Wheaton since 1968, died Monday, December 1 peacefully at home. He was born December 30, 1931 in Boston, MA to Victor and Edna Wells.
He graduated from Suffok University in Boston. On June 30, 1956 he married Helene Scott in Whitehall, NY. He retired from Proctor and Gamble in 1988 after 30 years. He went on to work as a Sales Manager for Bunge Foods. He was an active member of the Chicago Food Service and Marketing Club and served on the board for many years. He volunteered at the Morton Arboretum. He served as an Extraordinary Minister at St. Daniel the Prophet in Wheaton.
Arthur is survived by his wife, Helene, three children, Scott Wells of Winter Park, FL, Heidi (David) Schmidt of Hinsdale, and Mark (Sondra) Wells of Asheville, NC, six grandchildren, Annah and Leah Schmidt, Ben, Sam, Graham and Claire Wells, two brothers, Victor Wells Jr. and Ronald Wells.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol and his parents.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7 from 2 until 6 p.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St. in Wheaton where prayers will be held on Monday, December 8 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a mass at 10 a.m. at St. Daniel the Prophet Church, 101 West Loop Rd., in Wheaton.
