Arlene D. Rezny, age 81, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away peacefully with her children at her side, on May 20, 2019, at The Springs at Monarch Landing in Naperville, Illinois. She was born May 21, 1937 in Chicago, to Cyril and Dorothea Ward.

Arlene grew up in Maywood and graduated from Proviso High School, where she met Richard Rezny. They were married on June 23, 1956. They raised their family in Wheaton where Arlene was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She was a very good cook and she enjoyed bowling, Canasta, gardening and travel. Most of all, she loved to take care of her family.

She is survived by her children, Richard C. Rezny Jr., Kathryn M. (Donald)VanGelderen, and Christine A. (Bradley) Joseph; her grandchildren, Rachel E. (Noe) Castro, Nicole K. Joseph, Julianna M. Joseph and her great-granddaughters, Nadia E. and Viviana R. Castro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Rezny Sr., daughter Karen A. Rezny, her brother, Ronald Ward and her parents.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 from 4:00 until 8:00 at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. A funeral service will be held May 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church.
