Obituary
Arlene B. Melum, 78, a long term resident of Winfield, died Friday, July 28. She was born in Oak Park on September 29, 1927.
Mrs. Melum worked for 24 years at Central Dupage Hospital in the registration department. She was known as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also well liked by her friends in her neighborhood and work place. Those who knew her remember her as a life long White Sox fan.
She is survived by her sons, Glenn and Kent (Kristen) Melum; and her grandchildren, Ethan and Chloe Melum.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Austen Melum.
A memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 4th, from 9:00 A.M. until the time of a service at 10:00A.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, with Chaplain Ron Yurcus officiating.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, 1801 S. Meyers Rd., Ste. #100 Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181.
