Arlene L. Lawnicki, age 75, a resident of Bartlett, formerly of West Chicago, died on Monday, July 29, 2019, at home. She was born December 11, 1943 in Winfield, Illinois to August and Luella Swaenepoel.

Arlene grew up in Wheaton and attended St. John Lutheran Church and School and graduated from Wheaton High School. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Winfield for many years. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.

She is survived by her husband, James, two children, Kathleen Gordon of Warrenville, and Robert (Stephanie) Gordon of Finger, TN, six grandchildren, Jeremy, Megan, Allison, Andrew, Michael and Alexandria and two brothers, Oliver and Henry Swaenepoel.

Interment was held at Glen Oak Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois.
