Anna Julianna Gardaphe, nee Rotolo, 86 of Melrose Park, IL passed away on Monday, May 6, at home. She was born on May 8, 1926 to Michele Rotolo and Paolina Rotolo, nee Bianco, and raised by Donata Rotolo, nee Spino. Anna and the late Fred W. Gardaphe were married in 1951. She is survived by her son Fred, grandchildren Frederico and Marianna, and great grandchildren Michaelangelo and Anthony; daughter, Katherine Anne and son-in-law Gary Gnidovic, grandchildren Daniel and Jon Francis; son Michael Joseph and daughter-in-law Christina, grandchildren Gina and Jason Storrings, Marnae and Miguel Gines; son Paul William and daughter-in-law Rebecca, grandchildren Chase and Annabelle Gardaphe, Jesse James II, Danielle Barnes. She was the loving sister of the late Pat (Lenore) Rotolo, Julie (the late John) DeAno, Mary (Joseph) Lesniak, Rocco (Mary) Rotolo and Carmen (Lorraine) Rotolo.
A life-time resident of Melrose Park, Anna was an avid bowler, a workout fanatic even into her 80s. She loved her dancing with the late Al Galucci. She was a long-time member of New Life Community Church. She was devoted to her family and loved her friends and neighbors.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at New Life Community Church, 2001 W. Division St., in Melrose Park, IL where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.
