Anna DeJong, age 18, a lifelong resident of West Chicago, IL, went to be with the Lord on  May 27, 2020.  She was born on July 19, 2001 at her home in West Chicago.

Anna was currently graduating from West Chicago High School. She attended Indian Knoll Elementary School, Wegner School and West Chicago Middle School.  She was an active participant of Grace Church of DuPage.

Anna enjoyed acting and theater, and participated in Mama Mia at West Chicago High School.  She appreciated music and enjoyed listening to everything from rap to opera. Anna struggled with Autism but also had amazing gifts that the condition can provide. She touched many lives in her short 18 years and will be remembered with a smile. Her gentle way, along with her no pretense honesty was a blessing to many.

She is survived by her mother, Tricia (Todd Brooks) DeJong-Brooks of Crown Point, IN, her father, David DeJong of West Chicago, her sister, Kathryn Dawn DeJong, her maternal grandmother, Doris Gibson, paternal grandmother, Pearl DeJong, her aunts and uncles, Becky L. (Richard) Brewster, Donald (Marianne) DeJong, Sandra DeJong-Gangwer and Daniel (Meredith) DeJong and many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Don L. Gibson and Kenneth DeJong as well as her aunt, Karen Leigh Gibson and cousin Robert "Bobby" Lee Gibson.
