Ann Rose Stvan, age 100, of Westchester and Bensenville, Illinois, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Bridgeway Senior Living in Bensenville. She was born September 4, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Gustav and Anna(Kandlik) Kmen. Ann was united in marriage for 45 years to the late Richard T. Stvan on March 3, 1951.

She was preceded in death by brothers Gustav(Louise) Kmen, Ludomir Kmen and Charles(Josephine) Kmen and sisters Blanche and Lillian Kmen. Loving mother to Richard(Nancy) Stvan of Lisle and Kenneth(Janie) Stvan of Syracuse, New York. Dearest grandmother of Douglas Stvan, Lauren(Andrew) Jennrich, Matthew(Rachel) Stvan, Joshua(Katherine) Stvan, Zachary and Isabel Stvan. Sweet great grandmother to Madelyn and Elodie Jennrich.

At a young age Ann was involved in various community plays. She was musically talented as she often spent her downtime at home playing the organ. Ann enjoyed photography. She worked for a photo shop for 10 years and always loved snapping photographs of her cherished family and friends wherever she would travel. Ann loved to bake, play board games with her grandchildren, and card games with her friends. She was an active and devoted member of the Westchester Community Church; always willing to help others. Although she faced a long road of physical challenges as she grew older, Ann always greeted people with a smile and a positive attitude. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022, at the Westchester Community Church, 1840 Westchester Blvd., Westchester, Illinois. Visitation at 10:00 AM – Service at 11:00 AM.
