On Saturday, October 29, 2011, Ann Burnett Herndon of Wheaton, IL entered the presence of her Lord, as her family sang "Amazing Grace" at her bedside. Those whose lives she touched were blessed many times over by her kind and generous spirit, whether as wife, mother, family, or friend. Ann was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee on August 31, 1932. She is survived by her husband John Alva Herndon, children Deborah Isenberg (John), Stephen Herndon (Laurel), Lois Williams (David), Nancy Goodwin (Patrick) and Mary Beth deBolt (Keith) as well as 7 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, 3 great-granddaughters and 1 great-grandson. Ann was an active member of First Presbyterian Church, Wheaton, P.E.O. and Metropolitan Family Services of DuPage. She was a strong supporter of Abraham's Children mission, a lover of music (especially opera), bridge and travel, and had an amazing gift of hospitality.
Visitation will be Friday, November 4th, 2011 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Living Room at First Presbyterian Church of Wheaton, 715 N. Carlton Avenue, Wheaton, IL 60187. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 5th, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to CNS Home Health and Hospice, 690 E.
