Anita Erro Caswell, a resident of Wheaton, IL, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023.  She was born June 12, 1938 in Fresno, CA to Philip & Joy Erro.

Anita lived a life of celebration as a strong believer and dedicated witness to our Lord, Jesus Christ. She was a nurturer and shepherd of children and worked with at risk youth. In volunteer work at Bethesda Home for Boys in Savannah, she tutored reading and worked in the library.

A compassionate woman, Anita reached out to anyone in need, listened carefully, and extended encouragement. She was an initial donor to Little Hall on the Prairie, a free community center serving six small communities in rural Illinois since 1980. She also enjoyed contributing sweat equity at the annual fundraisers while living in Illinois.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who fervently tried to help her family know what their gifts and talents were and to use them to glorify God. One of her God given talents was a sensitive love of nature and gardening. The most significant gift that she left her family was demonstrating a passionate commitment to God. Anita took our Lord into her heart and let the Holy Spirit pour forth through her and guide her. As God's earthly servant, she persevered to walk with Him as "one".

She is survived by her children Barbara (Kenneth) Kosowski, Tom (Stacey) & John (Laura) Caswell; her grandchildren Helen & Mary Kosowski and Megan & Lily Ann Caswell. Also survived by her siblings Barbara (the late Gary) Marsella & Philip (Sharon) Erro and sister-in-law Carol (the late Tom) Caswell. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert.

Relatives & friends are invited to meet directly at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4801 Main St., Downers Grove, IL 60515, for a Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
