Angela Joy "Angie" Fisher, age 25, a resident of Aurora, and formerly of Pakistan and Thailand, died Friday, July 6, at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora. She was born April 22, 1982 in Qalandarabad, Pakistan.
Angela was a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for 123 Pediatrics in Aurora. She was actively involved at First Baptist Church in Wheaton where she led worship and sang in the choir. Growing up overseas she was part of a missionary community. She continued her commitment to missions as an adult by serving at Grace International School in Thailand as a school nurse. While in Thailand she also led worship at Chiang Mai Community Church. She enjoyed being an auntie.
She is survived by her parents, Gene and Linda Fisher of Thailand; her two sisters, Genie Lynn (Ron) Marklund of Shorewood, IL, and Bethany (Josh) Carney of Aurora; and her nephew, Micah Carney.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 10, from 3-7 P.M. at First Baptist Church, 1310 N. Main St. in Wheaton, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery.
