Alvina Margaret Lorenz, nee Eckstein, age 91 of Carol Stream, IL , beloved wife of the late Alfred M. Lorenz; cherished mother of Lynn Kittner, Leith Lorenz, Susan Cason, Kathleen (Henry) Horn, Elmer (Lynn) Lorenz, Jo (Ed) Miglio; dearest grandmother of 17; great-grandmother of 36; great-great-grandmother of two; dear sister of the late Grace Frano Lamb and Kurt Eckstein; and fond sister-in-law of Gladys Eckstein and Gilbert Prost and the late Marian Prost; also many nieces and nephews.

Born September 2, 1924 in Chicago, IL, she went peacefully to be her with Redeemer and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, February 29, 2016 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She lived a life secure in the love of God and she would have us remember this: know Jesus, live, walk, trust and rest in Him. Her family treasures the memories of her faithful love, which was rooted in Jesus' faithful love for her.

Alvina Lorenz was a long time resident of Chicago and attended the North Side Gospel Center for many years where she taught Sunday School and worshipped God in community.

Funeral services were held privately, followed by private interment at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago, IL.
