Allen C. Daniels, age 81, a resident of Schaumburg, IL, died Monday, October 12, 2015, at Friendship Village in Schaumburg, IL. He was born September 28, 1934 in Chicago, IL.

Al was in the Army as a young man, and retired from the US Postal Service. He served for 10 years with the domestic ministry, Christian Destiny, and then drove for a busing company in the final years of his career. He was a member of the Compass Church (formerly the Wheaton Evangeical Free Church). Al enjoyed serving others while living at Friendship Village in Schaumburg in recent years.

He is survived by his two children, Brenda (Charles) Guo of Naperville, IL, and Shadow Hunziker of Glen Ellyn, IL; four grandchildren, Sophia, Raymond and Lisa Guo, and Cory Hunziker; two great-grandchildren, Seth and Elyza Acosta; his brother, Wesley Daniels; and his sister, Lucille (Jay) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Daniels; and his sister, Doris Mason.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., in Wheaton, IL. Interment will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
