Alicia Cordoba, age 75, a resident of Glendale Heights, IL, died Sunday, July 20, at Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park, She was born July 19, 1933 in Colombia, South America.
Alicia was a devoted member of Wheaton Bible Church - Iglesia del Pueblo. She was also a consultant for JAFRA for many years. She loved her family and especially enjoyed cooking and knitting, and reading the Bible every day.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Octaviano Cordoba; her five children, David (Marina), Clara (Jose) Flores, William (Jacqueline), Daniel, and Samuel; four step-children, Pablo, Octavio, Luis, and Nubia; six grandchildren, Elizabeth (Manuel), Venesa (Airto), Liliana (Israel), David, Andrew, Alejandro; eight great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Jasmine, Jonathan, Manuel, Michael, Alexander, Sophia, and Lucas; three sisters, Gilma, Rosa, and Helena; and her brother, Rev. Fernando.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Manuel, Ignacio, Rev. Alfonso; and her grandson, William, Jr.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22, from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Wheaton Bible Church - Iglesia del Pueblo, 27W500 North Ave., in West Chicago, where a service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be held on Wednesday, July 23, at 11:00 A.M. at Assumption Cemetery, 1S510 Winfield Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
