Alice M. Virgil, age 89, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, died October 22, 2022, at GlenOaks Hospital in Glendale Heights, Illinois. She was born February 20, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York to Peter and Matilda Stoll.

On May 19, 1951, she married Nicolas G. Virgil. Eventually, they moved to the Chicago area.

She was a sweet and generous person who was always giving to everyone she met. She was an animal lover, who was very creative. Alice was always learning and had a great memory. Caring for her friends, she would learn a greeting in other languages so people would feel welcome. She was a gifted singer and dancer and was an excellent cook and baker.

She lived her life in unwavering testimony to her LDS faith. She experienced many miracles because of her deep love of her savior and had peace about dying.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Joseph) Bouse of Chesterton, IN, and one sister-in-law, Marion Ferri of NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicolas Virgil.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.
