Alice Prybycin, age 73, of Wheaton, IL passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Northwestern Medical Central DuPage Hospital surrounded by her beloved husband, Jerry, and family members.  She was born September 30, 1950, in Evergreen Park, IL to Roger and Marie (Lauer) Buckeridge.  The family moved to Downers Grove, IL in 1951.  Alice attended Downers Grove North High School, Northern Illinois University and Moser School, Chicago.

Alice married Jerry Prybycin on August 29, 1980, in Glen Ellyn, IL. Throughout their marriage they lived in Farmington, MI, Orchard Lake, MI and Wheaton, IL.  She worked as an executive assistant throughout her career for Gillette, Hallmark Cards, Little Caesars Corporate, and British Petroleum before retiring in April 2009.

Alice loved traveling, boating, dancing and playing cards. She and Jerry enjoyed many summers on their boat in New Buffalo, MI.  They traveled with family and friends all over the world.

Alice began her fight with cancer in 2008. She learned she was finally cancer free last week before experiencing a fatal fall.   She had such a wonderful attitude during her cancer treatments, always pointing out, no matter how fatigued she felt, that she had it so much better off than many other cancer patients.

Alice is survived by her beloved husband Jerry, her sisters Janice (Tom) Balcer of Calistoga, CA, Leanne (Alan) Struss of Coal Valley, IL, her brother's wife Carolyn Buckeridge of Columbia, IL. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Renee (Victor) Michuda of Woodridge, IL.  Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's parents, Laverne and William Przybycin, her sister Karen Brummel and her husband Richard Brummel, her brother Jim Buckeridge, and her sister-in-law Debra Skonieczny who is survived by her husband Randall.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187.  Interment will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
