Ailene K. Novack, age 69, a resident of Glen Ellyn, IL, died Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. She was born January 5, 1945 in Carlisle, IA.
Ailene (born Virginia Ailene Keeney) grew up in Carlisle where she graduated from Carlisle High School and then studied Biology and Dental Hygiene at the University of Iowa. She married John Novack in May of 1976 and they both lived in Itasca, IL before moving to Glen Ellyn in 1983. Ailene worked as a Dental Hygienist, mostly for Dr Banks in Glen Ellyn before becoming a professor of Dental Hygiene at Harper College in Palatine, IL. She retired from Harper in 2007.
What Ailene loved the most was spending time with her two children and spoiling her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Mathew (Mary) Novack of Los Angeles, CA and Mitchell (Keli) Novack of Batavia, IL; two grandchildren, Patrick and Hailey Novack; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, John Novack; two sisters; and her brother.
Services and interment are private.
