Aida I. Roman, 88, longtime resident of Pine Ridge, FL and recent resident of Warrenville, IL passed away February 19, 2022 at home. She was born June 2, 1933 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. As a teenager, she moved to New York with her Family where she later fell in love with Andres Roman. The two were wed and remained married for over 60 years until Andres' passing in 2017.

Aida kept her Faith and Family first. She lived to honor her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ! Through any obstacle or triumph Aida gave all of the glory to God always saying, "God is good. All the time." She was the most selfless and caring woman – dedicated to providing for her Family's every need and the needs of others always before her own. She always offered a strong foundation of faith, soft comforting words, a warm hug and endless but unconditional love.

Aida also had a passion for music and quite the gift for cooking. She loved hosting gatherings and preparing feasts for everyone to enjoy. A home filled with the sweet sound of laughter and the aroma of Puerto Rican meals brought her joy. She could always be found shimmying her shoulders and singing along to her favorite Vicente Fernandez song or just passionately praising her Lord through worship music.

Aida always carried herself humbly and with unprecedented style and grace. She will be forever remembered for a beauty, strength and energy that truly defied age.

Today, Aida's Family rests assured knowing she will walk beside each one of them and will remain in all of their hearts until they meet again in Paradise. Undoubtedly, Aida rejoiced as she was greeted at Heaven's gates with, 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let's celebrate together!' Matthew 25:23

Aida was preceded in death by her beloved Mother Natividad Santiago, Husband Andres Roman, Sister Vidalina Augusto and loving Son-in-law Eli De Anda. She is survived by her children Leslie Roman (Ray), Vicky De Anda, Andy Roman, Johnny Roman (Linette) and Grandchildren Leslie De Anda Delgado, Nicole De Anda, Desiree Rice (Kevin), Tatiana Gonzalez, Mariah Roman, Leah Roman, Luke Roman, Andy Roman Jr., Dylan Roman and Great Grandchildren Isaiah Delgado and Julisa Delgado.

A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 26, 2022 @ College Church (332 E. Seminary Ave. Wheaton, IL) with visitation from 12:00-3:30pm and a Celebration of Life service from 3:30-5:30pm.
