A. Stuart Kay's Obituary
A. Stuart Kay, age 96, a resident of Wheaton, IL, retired to Eureka Springs AR for 30 years and returned to Wheaton, died November 10, 2011 at home. He was born May 22, 1915 in Chicago, IL at Illinois Masonic Hospital.
Mr. Kay was self-employed at Kay Carpet Cleaners. He was a member of College Church in Wheaton and was a retired U.S. Army Reserve, Lt. Col.
He is survived by his daughter, Frances K. (Don) Thompsen of Wheaton; three grandchildren, Matt Poole, Chris (Jessica) Poole, and Jessica Poole; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Gauger Kay; his parents, Ira and Edna Kay; and brothers, Obed and Dwight.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of a funeral service to be held at 1:30 p.m. at College Church in Wheaton, 332 E. Seminary Ave. with Rev. Todd Augustine officiating. Interment will be at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be directed to College Church in Wheaton, 332 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187; or to Samaritan's Purse, P0 Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000.
