Scott E. Krause, age 70, resident of Wheaton, IL, died on September 11, 2021. He passed peacefully, in the presence of his loving family.

Scott was born July 4, 1951 in Berwyn to Ernest and Audrey Krause. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Krause, his daughter, Holly Krause Mohr (husband Eric), and three grandchildren, Juliana, Andrew and Sage, as well as his siblings, Karen Hildebrand, Sharon Krause and Bruce Krause (Scott's twin).

A man of deep faith and convert to Catholicism, Scott's life was marked by conviction and authenticity. Scott's interests ranged from golf, to politics, to Eastern philosophy and British literature. Through the years, he dedicated his time to the Saint Michael Holy Name Society and served as a Milton Township Republican Precinct Committeeman. A connoisseur of fine wines and cuisine, Scott worked as a food and beverage manager and expert bartender until fulfilling the dream of owning and operating his own pub, which he opened, along with Kathleen, in 1997. Since 1997, Scott and Kathleen have lovingly and tenaciously cultivated the Addison Pub, creating a true community, as well as a neighborhood gathering place. For Scott, owning and operating the Pub was a true vocation. It has served as a creative space for Scott to put his expertise in libations and hospitality to the test, but also a place where people could gather to feel respected and safe. When Scott was in the pub, customers and friends could expect challenging conversation, someone who cared about their wellbeing, and jazz in the background.

Scott was most at peace cooking beautiful food for his family, sipping excellent Cabernet, and listening to jazz. His family will honor him with love and gratitude each time they do the same.

Private interment and military honors were held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
