Michelle Dowell, age 35, a resident of Wheaton, IL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 7, 2020, suddenly as a result of an undiagnosed heart condition, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Illinois. She was born July 31, 1985 in Batavia, New York.

She grew up in Batavia, New York where she graduated high school. Michelle earned a Bachelor's degree in English at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI, where she met Daniel Dowell. They were married on February 21, 2009. She worked with the editorial staff at Christianity Today since 2008.

Her Christian faith was central to her life. She enjoyed reading theological books, literature and video games.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Dowell of Wheaton, her father, Lawrence, of Batavia, NY, her brother, Kevin and sister, Janelle. She was preceded in death by her mother, Faith.

Services will be held privately.
