Janell Alyce Trieglaff, age 33, passed away at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood, October 8, 2021, after a brief illness. Janell was born August 31, 1988 to Mark and Joy (Foster) Trieglaff and is the sister of Joshua Trieglaff, all residents of Wheaton, IL.

Janell graduated Glenbard South High School, and studied at College of DuPage Culinary and Hospitality Center and Purdue University Veterinary Technology Distance Learning Program.

Janell worked as a technician and clerical support in veterinary medicine, most recently at Arboretum View Animal Hospital in Downers Grove. She spent her life learning about and caring for animals. As a very young girl visiting "her daddy's" (Brookfield) Zoo, the seed was planted for Janell's broad range of interest in animal care. Her volunteer experience included involvement in the summer junior keeper with Willowbrook Wildlife Center, fostering kittens for DuPage Animal Shelter, helping a therapeutic horse back riding program in Winfield and fostering puppies in service dog training through the Thomas F. Morris Sr. Service Dog Program.

Another area of talent and interest for Janell was cooking and baking. Through the Culinary Arts Program at College of DuPage, and worked as a Pantry Chef at the Harrington Inn in Geneva, IL. Janell was recognized in 2005 by the American Culinary Federation Chicago Chefs.

During her time with the service dog training is when her beloved dog Sam entered her life. Not able to make the "cut" for service dog training, Sam joined Janell's first dog Logan and they were well cared for throughout their long lives.

Janell will be remembered for her unique sense of humor, ready smile and devotion to her co-workers, friends and family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 16, at 1:00 p.m., at College Church in Wheaton. Please note that masks will be required for all those who wish to attend the service.
