Doris Mary Seaman (Purcell), age 90, a resident of Wheaton, IL and formerly of Framingham, MA, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022.  She was born December 13, 1931 in Waltham, MA. Her parents were Fredrick and Mary Jane Purcell.

Doris grew up in Framingham and graduated from Framingham High School. She met George Seaman at church and they were married in October of 1961. In addition to raising two children Doris worked as an accountant at Bancroft Cap Company and Horizons Unlimited Travel Agency.

She frequently traveled and loved vacationing on Cape Cod with friends and family whenever she could.  Doris enjoyed living in New England and especially the Boston sports teams. In recent years, Doris and George had moved to Wheaton, IL and were members of College Church.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Steve) Uhlig of Westminster, MD and  Mark (Kristin) Seaman of Glen Ellyn, IL and nine grandchildren, Meghan (David) Albright, Luke Young, Patrick (Abbie) Young, Blake Young, Timothy Young, Zachary Seaman, Katherine Seaman, Emma Seaman, and Olivia Seaman.  Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 14, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL 60187 where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Wheaton Cemetery in Wheaton, IL.
