Elaine D. Weber

Elaine D. Weber, a resident of Wheaton for over 40 years, died Saturday, February 9, at Wynscape in Wheaton. She was born on March 21, 1928 in Chicago, IL.

Elaine was a very outgoing person who made many friends throughout her life. She was particularly fond of the friends that she made while living on James Ct., in Wheaton, Maple Hill in Warrenville, Waterford Place in Wheaton, and Wyndemere in Wheaton.

Elaine was a homemaker, an avid sports enthusiast, and loved to read. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enthusiastically supported her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. She also was a dedicated Chicago Bears fan, and especially enjoyed watching the University of Illinois sports teams compete. She spent many years as a volunteer at Central DuPage Hospital. She also loved to play cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joseph A. Weber, Jr. She is survived by two children, Linda (David) Johnson, and Russ (Cheryl) Weber, both of Wheaton; three grandchildren, Derek and Dana Weber, and Russ Johnson, and nephew Bob (Terri) Levinson, and nieces Lil (Ken) Galus and Sue Jordan.

A memorial celebration of her life will be private. Interment is also private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Chicago, 11 S. LaSalle Street, #1800, Chicago, IL 60603, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., 17th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601-7633, or to a charity of your choice.
