Michael Lawrence Kiely

Michael Lawrence Kiely, age 74, a resident of Carol Stream, Illinois, died October 27, 2012, at Clare Oaks in Bartlett. He was born June 17, 1938 in Springfield, Illinois, where he attended Blessed Sacrament grade school & Cathedral Boys high school. He received his Bachelor of science from Lewis College of Science in Lock port, IL. Then went on to receive his Master of Science as well as his Doctorates in Philosophy from Loyola University of Chicago. He belonged to St. Luke parish in Carol Stream where he was an active member for many years. He was a devoted member of the Wheaton Knights of Columbus council No. 2601.

Aside from spending time with his family, Michael loved to play golf, watch sports, and listen to jazz.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Kiely of Carol Stream, his two daughters Michelle Marsala & Jeanette Lawler, his Grand children, Cassandra Marsala, Hannah Lawler, Mason Lawler and Nelson Lawler, Great Grandson Dominick Johnson, and Loving sister Sharon Thompson along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held November 2, 2012 from 5-9:00 P.M. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, Illinois. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Luke Parish, 421 Cochise Court, Carol Stream, Illinois 60188. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery in Wheaton, Illinois.

Memorial gifts may be directed to any of the following foundations: National Parkinson Foundation, Lymphoma Research Foundation, Sarcoma Foundation of America, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, MDS Foundation, American Spinal Injury Association, or the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
